CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Monday evening that the state government will give homes to 1 lakh poor people and regularise 400 more colonies in the next 2 months to add to 450.

During an event at Seva Sadhana Kendra Pattikalyana in Panipat district’s Samalkha area, he described how the Svamitra Yojana helped villagers get proprietary rights to their properties.

The scheme eliminated Lal Dora restrictions from the villages, effectively, while it has also benefited 4,000 urban individuals.

He said the government will widen the ambit of pension schemes, student scholarships, housing projects, and Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana.

He claimed that adoption of the Parivar Pehchan Partra (PPP) scheme had streamlined the distribution of ration cards and pension at home, and helped curb corruption in the government recruitments.
