LUDHIANA: With September 30 being the last day to submit property tax with 10% rebate, the municipal corporation (MC) has urged the residents to pay the tax in time to avail the benefit.

The civic body officials stated that there are around 2 lakh property owners in the city who are yet to pay the property tax for the current financial year.

MC commissioner Sandeep Rishi said different steps were being taken to facilitate the residents in submitting the tax at Suvidha Kendras. The residents can also avoid standing in long queues and pay the property tax online on the website –

The civic body officials added that no penalty is imposed on payment of tax from October 1 to December 31.
