Amc Allots 15 More Plots For Debris Disposal, ET RealEstate
AHMEDABAD: The city civic body on Thursday allotted 15 more plots in various parts of the city for disposal of construction debris. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) already had 10 such plots, thus the total number is now 25.
The AMC has also resolved that if a citizen or construction company wants the civic body to remove debris from their site, the service will be provided at a cost of Rs 200 per haul.
The standing committee of AMC on Thursday also decided to charge a deposit per shift apart from the rental for the hire of party plots or community halls. Earlier, the civic body charged a deposit for the entire day even if the facility was rented only for one shift.
The AMC rents these facilities in three shifts. Now, people will have to pay Rs 25,000 as deposit per shift apart from the rent.
The standing committee also approved a project to collect flower waste from various places in the city and give it to a startup to make incense from it. The committee also approved the closure of the Amraiwadi public library and its conversion to an anganwadi.
