Senior Ias Officer Veenu Gupta Becomes Rera Chairperson, ET RealEstate
JAIPUR: Missing out on the chance to become the chief secretary of Rajasthan, senior IAS officer Veenu Gupta became the chairperson of Rajasthan Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) on Friday. Presently, Gupta is the additional chief secretary of the industry and commerce department.
“In pursuance of the sections 21 and 22 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 and all other powers enabling on the behalf, the state government appoints Veenu Gupta as the chairperson of RERA, Jaipur.
The tenure of the office of the chairperson, RERA Jaipur, shall be five years from the date on which she enters upon her office or until attaining the age of 65, whichever is earlier,” stated a notification issued by T Ravikant, principal secretary of the Urban Development and Housing (UDH) Department.
A few months back, there were speculations that Gupta may replace Usha Sharma as the chief secretary of Rajasthan.
