CHANDIGARH: A meeting of residents of Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) dwelling units, in collaboration with Chandigarh Residents’ Associations Welfare Federation, was held in Sector 41A on Sunday.

The agenda of the meeting was to bring to the notice of UT administration the need-based regularisation policy implemented on January 3 this year.

It was said that step-motherly treatment was being doled out to the residents of duplex flats in Sector 41A, where previously allowed need-based changes have been banned in the recent policy.

The residents urged the authorities to scrap the policy and get in place a scheme for the regularisation of constructions already made, besides suspension of all notices.
