HYDERABAD: Tile manufacturer Regency Ceramics, whose business came to a halt in 2012 after its manufacturing facility at Yanam in Puducherry was damaged by worker strife, is trying to hit revive button.

The BSE & NSE listed company, which had installed capacity of 40,000 sq metres per day and 192 crore turnover in 2011-12, plans to kickstart production with 7,000 sqm per day capacity with one line in Q3 of FY24 and ramp it up to 26,000 sqm per day with four lines by end of 2024, its CEO Narala Satyendra Prasad said.

“We expect to start trials in September and commence first phase production after that. In the second phase we will add two lines with 14,000 sqm per day capacity and then increase it further,” he explained.

According to Prasad, the revival will require an investment of Rs 75 crore in plant and machinery, of which Rs 8-10 crore for phase-1 will be entirely promoter funded.
