KANPUR: A city man filed a report of commiting fraud of Rs 65 lakh against the Noida builder for not returning the money of the former which he had invested in the real estate business.

Romi Singh, director of the company Unified Capital Solutions Private Limited, alleged in his complaint that he had business relations with one Ramesh Dev Verma, a resident of Delhi’s Shrestha Vihar.

Verma is the director of VSR company, located in Ecotech, Greater Noida, while his son Neelaksh is the co-director of the company. Romi Singh alleged in his complaint that in the year 2013, Ramesh Verma had come to his house with his son and said that his company was preparing a project to build flats in Greater Noida, but he was running short of money.

“Ramesh told me that if I invest Rs 90 lakh in his company for some time, he will return his money along with the profit otherwise the registry of flats will be done instead of investment”, Romi said.

After that Romi Singh, transferred Rs 90 lakh to the company account of Ramesh Verma, but when the work on the project did not start for a long time, Romi asked Verma to return his money but the latter returned him only Rs 25 lakh of the total Rs 90 lakh.

Romi then met police commissioner BP Jogdand, who directed the Nazirabad police to lodge an FIR and investigate the matter.

Station House Officer Nazirabad Kaushlendra Pratap Singh said that the case is being investigated after registering a report on the victim’s complaint.
