Glada Demolishes Illegal Colonies, Real Estate News, ET RealEstate
LUDHIANA: Officials of Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (Glada) demolished four illegal colonies on Thursday.
They dismantled their roads, boundary walls, passages, street lights, sewer manholes and other constructions. The five unauthorised colonies were located at villages of Daad, Lalton, Jhande and Thareeke.
The demolition drive was held in collaboration with police and officials of PSPCL as well as the revenue department.
Glada chief administrator Sagar Setia said that a drive has been launched to punish people fleecing innocent residents by offering them cheap plots in unauthorised colonies which did not comply with government norms.
