Eight booked for building four flats with fake seals, Real Estate News, ET RealEstate
MUMBAI: The Virar police on Monday booked eight property developers for constructing four residential flats in Virar (E) by using counterfeit seals.
The flats were later sold to buyers. The police said the accused had also obtained RERA permits.
Last month, the police had arrested five men for allegedly constructing 55 residential buildings using forged documents. The accused were cheating home buyers since 2015.
A total of 115 counterfeit seals were seized from them. Based on the counterfeit seals, they had obtained RERA permits for 55 buildings.
