Derabassi Mc Under Scanner Over Fake Nocs To Builders, Real Estate News, ET RealEstate
MOHALI: The role of several Derabassi municipal council officials is under scanner over the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOC’s) to builders. According to sources, around 2,000 permissions were sent to local bodies for scrutiny, out of which 150 NOCs were found fake.
The role of the Derabassi tehsildar is also under lens as preliminary probe by an internal agency have drawn suspicions of him being hand in glove with local builders.
The local bodies department have obtained around 2000 NOCs, which will be scrutinized and vetted for being issued to the builders.
When contacted, Mohali DC Aashika Jain said, “I have also come to know about the anomaly. I will see that further probe is conducted thoroughly in an unbiased manner. Guilty will not be spared at any cost and we have zero tolerance to corruption.”
The action came after complaint were received by the council against MC officials over NOCs being issued without following government guidelines, thus giving benefit to local builders.
