“The district administration has already conducted a bathymetry survey in CRZ areas with the help of NITK, Surathkal to assess the quantum of sand dunes and a report was submitted to the KSCZMA for environmental clearance. We are waiting for an approval from the state to commence the sand extraction in the CRZ areas,” he said.
