Cidco Allocates 46 Plots To Paps In Computerised Draw, Real Estate News, ET RealEstate

NAVI MUMBAI: Cidco has recently allotted 46 plots to project affected persons (PAP) of Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).

In a computerised draw held at Cidco’s headquarters in CBD Belapur, 46 plots of which 23 are under the rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) scheme, and 23 under 22.5% compensation scheme, have been allotted to villagers who surrendered their land for construction of airport.

Cidco is developing the NMIA on 1,160 hectare by acquiring land from 10 revenue villages in Panvel Taluka of Raigad district. The villagers have been evacuated from their ancestral homes and shifted to rental houses.

At least 3, 000 project affected families have been offered rehabilitation package and other benefits by Cidco under the 22.5% scheme approved by the state government.

Pushpak Nagar Node adjacent to Ulwe has been developed for rehabilitation of PAP. The landowners received Rs1,000 per square feet for construction of their new homes on allotted plots, Rs 500 per square feet is being disbursed as rent for 18 months, Rs36,000 has been paid one-time as special assistance and Rs 1,24,500 one-time agriculture compensation to those who surrendered their farmland. Cidco has also paid Rs 50, 000 transportation allowances to each PAP.
