KOLKATA: Rakesh Singh, one of the directors of a real estate company accused of fraud, didn’t appear for ED questioning at the Salt Lake CGO Complex on Monday.

Singh sent a letter to the agency in the morning seeking more time. Basirhat MP Nusrat Jahan, a former director of the company, is to be questioned on Tuesday.

The ED started an ECIR against Singh, Jahan and actor Ruplekha Mitra after 429 people alleged 7 Sense Infrastructure Pvt Ltd had taken Rs 5.5 lakh each from them for flats but didn’t deliver.

Mitra, who was issued summons for Wednesday, has also sought more time for her appearance.
