NOIDA: Twenty-five developers have been booked for carrying out constructions in the Shahberi area despite a Supreme Court stay.

GNIDA submitted a complaint on Wednesday after the developers were found completing the buildings illegally. Some, officials said, had fenced plots and developed a cricket stadium in the notified area.

The Shahberi area has been under lens since 2018 after nine persons were killed as two buildings collapsed.

“In 2014, the Supreme Court directed to maintain the status quo in the area while hearing a writ petition, but developers are time and again found illegally constructing buildings,” a GNIDA official said.

Two FIRs have been filed, the first naming 14 developers and the second 11.
