PANAJI: The real estate developer, The House of Abhinandan Lodha, on Friday told state govt that it has withdrawn the controversial advertisement captioned, ‘Delhi, Rulers of India, Now Conquer Goa’. The developer apologised to the people of Goa for hurting their sentiments.

Samujjwal Ghosh, chief executive officer (CEO) of the firm, in a letter to the home department, said that the objectionable advertisement referred to in the letter was published on the website of 360 Realtors, one of their channel partners.

“After this came to our notice, we immediately instructed 360 Realtors to remove this advertisement, and it was removed from the website on July 31, 2024,” Ghosh said. The CEO enclosed a copy of an email dated Sept 12, 2024 from 360 Realtors, which confirms the advertisement had been removed. “We request you to note that this advertisement has been withdrawn.

We sincerely apologise for the hurt caused to the sentiments of the people of Goa. We deeply respect the culture and heritage of Goa and we are extremely grateful for the support and hospitality extended to us by the people of Goa,” Ghosh said.
