Enforcement directorate registers tax evasion case against builder, ET RealEstate
PATNA: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case of tax evasion against a builder with several other businesses across many states.
Gabbu Singh‘s name came to limelight last year when the ED raided all premises linked to his company, Govinda Construction, for ill-gotten assets.
In 2022, the income tax (I-T) and ED teams had raided Singh’s premises in Patna, Noida and Jharkhand.
During the raids, many important documents in a case of tax evasion of reportedly more than Rs 100 crore were seized. Singh is considered close to many political leaders, although he is not very active in politics.
