CHANDIGARH: Panchkula’s special court for money laundering cases on Tuesday deferred the arguments on the enforcement directorate‘s petition for the production warrants of M3M realty group’s director Roop Bansal for Wednesday.

The defense counsel has withdrawn the application for Roop Bansal’s regular bail, but the his argument on application for default bail made the court ajourn the hearing to September 21.

The counsel moved an application for dropping the proceedings against Bansal, but the court had fixed the next hearing for September 19 when the matter of regular bail to Ireo realty group MD Lalit Goyal had come up.

The money laundering cases of the enforcement directorate are linked with the corruption case against former CBI judge Sudhir Parmar, who is under arrest with his nephew Ajay Parmar, besides M3M directors Basant Bansal and Pankaj Bansal along with Ireo group MD Lalit Goyal.

The ED has sought custody of Roop Bansal, who was earlier arrested in a money laundering case of 2021.
